Chapter 553 552: Muku versus Feline Beast

A few seconds before Althea showed up...

"I hope you have made peace with all your affairs human. For you will not be making it out of here alive" The MR9 l beast that was facing Muku spoke up.

It had catlike eyes and pawed legs. It was obvious that it was a feline-type beast.

Muku looked at it silently thinking whether he should kill it instantly or play around with it a bit. Normally he would end the fight as quickly as possible. But it had been a while since he had a real fight. So he might as well enjoy it a bit right?

And with that, he made a decision. He would suppress his power to match the beast that still didn't know how strong he was.

"Enough talk. Let's fight and see who makes it out of here alive" Muku spoke in a hot-blooded manner.

Of course, he was faking it since he was way stronger than the beast and could end it quickly.

"Let's fight then!" The beast replied then lunged forward with a deadly punch.

Muku received it with his own controlled one. Then...

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!

A thunderous sound and shockwave appeared from the impact and spread in all directions destroying all the debris it came across.

"Not bad human. It seems you have a little talent. I guess I'll show you a little more of my power now" The beast spoke in an appreciative and proud voice.

At first, it was a bit hesitant since it didn't know his power. But after that exchange, it felt that it now had an idea.

While he was definitely strong. It was definitely stronger.

And while it said it would only show a little bit more. It was planning on going all out and catching him off guard.

That would end the fight sooner and it could then go and assist its allies.

It wasn't an honorable fighting method but since when did beasts care about honor?

And so, it pretended to throw a slightly stronger punch, then....

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!

Divine mana exploded out and coated the fist making it countless times stronger.

In less than a millionth of a second, it had reached Muku's face.

Unfortunately, it missed by less than an inch and he backed off in fear(fake fear of course).

He then began flying away in panic.

Seeing this made the beast extremely happy thinking that its power had scared him completely. That dodge was definitely pure luck then.

And so, it began chasing and trying to punch him to death. From time to time, it would use projectile attacks but that's only when the distance between them was increasing too much. Otherwise, it preferred punching him to death instead.

Unfortunately, it seemed that while he was offensively weak, he was extremely fast. Slightly faster than it but fast enough to keep his life and annoy it.

Just when it managed to catch up to him by using a secret technique it had learnt after studying the space element a bit. Silver armour suddenly appeared on his body and protected him.

From then on he started fighting back. He wasn't causing damage but he was resisting damage at least.

And so, they started punching each other all over the galaxy-sized suspended zone.

All this happened in less than 30 seconds. Then Althea appeared and complimented Muku.

After all, unlike the beast, she knew that he wasn't even trying. If anything, he was studying how the beast fought for some insights when he has to fight real threats later on.

Sure, the techniques won't be identical, but there might be some similarities that will give him an advantage.

Althea didn't intervene. In fact, she completely suppressed her aura until she could even be detected and followed the battle from a distance while enjoying the show...

A few minutes later...

The beast was extremely pissed off at that time.

It hated how despite being clearly stronger it just couldn't finish off this ant.

But then again, that's usually how same-rank battles go when the difference isn't too much. Especially after reaching R7. Everyone has many methods of preserving their lives.

Hell, it was sure that the bastard would have long run away were they not confined in the space.

That was the only good thing about the situation. No matter how he ran now, he would eventually run out of mana first as the weaker one and it would win and end him.

At that point, they had cleared out all the debris that could be destroyed.

All that was left were those mysterious bones and random rocks with no aura at all.

"Is this all you've got? At this rate, we're going to be here for years. Hahahaha" Muku mocked the beast while running away.

Honestly, it was so infuriating that if the beast were a mortal, it would have had a heart attack and died from anger.

How dare he be so arrogant while running away? And even worse was the truthfulness of his words.

At the rate they were going with their current mana pools, running around for a few years was actually a possibility.

"Stop and fight like a man then bastard!" The beast bellowed angrily.

"Are you sure?" Muku asked shyly.

"HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!" That totally out-of-focus voice made the beast explode and completely cover the whole space with its domain.

Yes, an R9s domain can cover a whole Galaxy.

Unfortunately, even for them, it is extremely taxing and they can only keep it up for a few seconds.

Which was usually not something they were willing to do since if their opponent managed to survive those few seconds then they are screwed.

Which was extremely likely since a domain armour could allow them to resist while costing way less.

But if the one who uses the domain is quick and skilled enough, they can eliminate the opponent by bombarding them from start to finish with no breaks. Unfortunately, that was extremely hard to do.

And an AoE attack isn't concentrated enough.

But with a domain, they at least have a clear idea of where the opponent might go next, so with some luck and prediction, it might work out.

That's exactly what the beast was betting on. It had been pretty much studying Muku for the last few minutes. So it wasn't a shot in complete darkness due to anger.

It was a calculated move. In fact, while it was angry, the anger was a diversion. As an R9, it had met its fair share of infuriating opponents. So affecting it through anger was unlikely.

Muku was definitely the most annoying but it still barely managed to keep a trace of reason that allowed it to execute its plan.

As a fire element bTheast. S crimson red domain covered the whole zone in less than a second.

Then all the attachadit has ever used appeared and surrounded Muku. From basic attacks to ultimates.

It had decided to go all out from the start and then...

BOOOOOO...OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO...OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO...OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO...OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO...OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!!!

An explosion so loud it was heard outside of the zone was heard. These were the kind of attacks that were by heard outsiders after all.

The beast was so focused onthat Muku it failed to noticblind spotndspot in the domain. Which was obviously where Althea and surprisingly a few more were where.

They were all happily watching the fight while munching on some snacks in the case of Hope.

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!

Soon after the explosion went off, a bruised and battered Muku covered by a tattered domain armour shot out and flew into the distance.

The slipale-faced faced beast didn't look shocked had expectedcepted such a result. ifll, it he had died on the spot it would have been disappointed.

"Naive" it spoke in a cold, and voice then Muku was surrounded by similar attacks again. This time twice as many.

Another dead shot and explosion that was even louder.

Surprisingly, he shot out again. This time even more rugged and injured but still intact.

This was definitely unexpected by the beast. But it didn't linger on it. It bombarded him with another round even stronger than the last.

As it had studied him, it hievery timerytime.

And shockingly the bastard cockroach survived. In an even worse condition but alive nonetheleAt.

As that, point the beast was losing itself to anger. While also losing large chunks of mana.

The girls in the diswere where laughing their asses off at what Muku was doing. They didn't know he was such a great actor. If they didn't know his real strength they might have thought that he was really losing and about to die...

At that, point the beast hardened its heart and poured all it had into the next attack.

That incitsd it's hatred energy. That's right, it didn't take the righteous path but the evil and easier one. It had terrorized countless beings to get every ounce of the hatred energy and it was going to use it all to nuke one bastard human who refused to die.

This move was unexpected by even Muku. Before he could react. He was surrounded by even more attacks, way more and they were all blood red in color after being mixed with hatred energy. Then...

The whole zone turned white due to the explosion with zero sound.

The explosion had gone beyond sound. And if it were a galaxy, it would have stopped existing at that very moment...
