Chapter 816: The Third Thud

"Hello? Hello? Mum, I’m going to hang up, my guest has just arrived." Kathrine said, moving to the club. Two individuals were present, one a man with a green eye cybernetic and the other a woman, smaller than even Keyla. She knew both of them, but she didn’t know why the man was here."Elizabeth? Is that you?" Kathrine said without straining her voice, the music was quiet for now.

Elizabeth turned to Kathrine and smiled. "Oh Kathrine! It is so good to finally meet you in person. I have enjoyed our correspondence regarding Apollo. The man is such a naturally gifted individual, yet is such a sweetiepie."

Kathrine smiled hearing that. "Isn’t he just?" But she then leaned in and whispered. "But between us women, he can be just the opposite of a sweetiepie when he puts his mind to it." She then winked at Elizabeth before turning to the man and extended her hand out.

"Fergus Hathcock... I can’t believe you, of all people, are here. I used to have a crush on you back when I was eighteen. Do you know Apollo? My world has just gotten much smaller if that is the case."

Fergus met the handshake with a respectful smile. "I am Apollo’s teacher for Psionic firearms. I gifted him a weapon also before he went to war. Elizabeth told me you invited her to an event honouring the man and she said she had a plus one. Still, I am sensing quite a few powerful Psionics individuals scattered amongst the crowd. Looks like Apollo has friends in all the high places. Though he is quite charismatic, so it’s not surprising."

"Well you are most welcome Fergus. Also, you might enjoy the fact that almost everyone here will not care about how influential you are. Apollo has a way of making people mellow out, even when not here."

Fergus nodded hearing that. The body language of 90% of the individuals present were extremely laid back. They looked almost at peace amongst one another. ’Peculiar.’

He then quickly turned back to Kathrine and smiled. "Well, that is most welcome... Though is Valerica here yet? I want to go over some details we missed the other day about Apollo’s advanced training program when he returns from the war."

Kathrine then waved her hand. "Nah, I sent her an invite, but with how busy she has been and the fact I am in her spam filter, she forgot and is probably sulking now that she isn’t here."

"Oh that is a shame, I bet she will be crushed, she loves Apollo so much after all." Elizabeth proclaimed.

"I’m sure she does, but she has nothing on me..." Kathrine said boldly before turning to Fergus. "Fergus, while I will be fangirling in a little bit and asking you a bunch of extremely uncomfortable questions about your past, do you mind If I steal Elizabeth for a little bit? I have to pick her brain about something."

Holding up his metal arm, he gave Kathrine a thumbs up. "No problem. I guess I’ll mingle. It’s been a very long time since I was in the southern hemisphere of Euc 4 after all. Things should get interesting."

Before Kathrine even registered, Fergus disappeared from her perception and entered the club.

"So cool!" Kathrine couldn’t help but mutter. Meeting an old hero was always going to be fun, but right now she was here for her husband to be."

Wrapping her hand around Elizabeth’s, she smiled and squeaked. "Let’s go to the bar. We are at a celebration after all!"

As the duo arrived at the bar, they took a couple of seats that two individuals luckily stood up from as they approached.

Kathrine sat on the stool and watched as Elizabeth struggled for a second. "You laugh, you die." Elizabeth said, jokingly, as she recognised the glance she was getting from Kathrine, but a woman behind the bar then spoke out.

"Oh, don’t worry. One of the scariest people we know is only an inch taller than you. No one will dare attempt to laugh at you, miss-"

The bartender was then cut off. "- Oh lady Hyllus! I should have known you would be here! Welcome back, your presence has been missed. Who is your new friend?"

Kathrine smiled at the two gorgeous blondes behind the bar, their sunglasses indoors, while a bold choice, suited them very well. "Maddy, Mandie. Nice to see the two of you again. This is Elizabeth Duvile from the college of Psionics. She is one of Apollo’s teachers."

"Nice to meet you." Elizabeth said with a friendly smile.

In unison the duo rested their elbows on the bar, a look of fascination appearing on their faces. "You teach Apollo? That must be so rewarding." Maddy commented

"Right? He is just... Built differently compared to everyone else, I would find it hard to focus on other students... Especially with all those muscles and that face, yum..." Mandie followed up.

Elizabeth said nothing, simply clearing her throat, making the duo stand back up. "Oh! Sorry, we both kind of had a crush on Apollo when he was here. Back to business. Any confirmed friend of Apollo gets a free drink, so what will it be?"

Elizabeth then went to ask for a menu, but before she could, Kathrine grasped her hand gently, getting her attention. "I know the perfect drink! It’s the club’s specialty." She then turned to Maddy and winked slyly. "Two perfect poisons, please."

"Perfect poison?" Elizabeth asked as she began to watch the bartender curiously. Kathrine then grabbed her attention. "Oh yes, I was skeptical about the name the first time I heard it. But trust me, the taste... It’s to die for."

"If I had a credit for each mopey fucker I had on my floor, I’d have two credits. Which isn’t alot, but its ANNOYING AS FUCK thats its happened twice! Get up!" Janine yelled as she watched the duo just act dead on the floor.

Valerica rolled over onto her back, her forearm covering her eyes. "You wouldn’t get it Janine. I’m his mother. I’ve failed him by not attending that party. The guilt is too much. I wish I was dead."

"I miss Apollo." Orchid muttered, again for the umpteenth time. Prompting Janine to finally snap. "You two think you are the only ones missing Apollo? Do you know what it’s like for me to have the perfect being, the love of my life and best friend, breed me like he does, only for him to leave right after? The feelings inside... It burns and it hurts. My biology is literally screaming at me to go and find him and beg him to breed me again. But Apollo asked us to be strong. And I won’t fail him. Now i’ve already missed class, but can you please just-"

Suddenly Janine’s pocket began to vibrate. And it wasn’t one of the toys she bought to experiment with when Apollo came back... It was her communicator.

Picking it up she answered it only to be confused. "Talia?"

"Janine! Oh my you look so pretty! I missed you so much!!! I got your number from... Wait, how did I get your number? I forgot! Hahaha! Anyway, are you coming to the party? Me and Kathrine arrived yesterday!"

Janine just blinked, shocked. "Y-you are at that party?"

"Of course! I go everywhere with boss wife! It’s a shame Apollo isn’t here. I’ve been dreaming about his cock inside me for months now. The trio existed in despair for a while before all of a sudden Valerica shot up and shouted.

"Communicator!"

She then pulled out a third crystal from betwixt her cleavage and activated it.

"What are you doing?" Janine asked, lifelessly.

"Breaking the law! I’m calling sis. I want to hear Apollo’s voice. She can patch me through to him!

"Hear Apollo?" Orchid suddenly muttered, her head rising from the couch.

Janine hastily rose to her knees and yelled at Valerica. "Hurry up! Call him- her! Call her!"

Hearing her emergency alert communication go off, Serena’s eyes went wide and held up her hand to her two ’guests’

Walking to the side, she hastily answered the communicator. "Valerica? Is there an emergency? Why have you activated your guardian crystal? Is the capital in trouble?"

Serena then listened to what her sister just asked her and was absolutely shocked, she needed clarification to make sure what she just heard was correct.

"I’m sorry, sister, could you repeat that? I’m pretty sure I am going to have to kill you the next time I see you if you used your emergency crystal for this. So repeat yourself. NOW!"
