Chapter 345: Time To Go Demon Wyvern Hunting

Without even needing to ask the question, the receptionist lady stuck out her hands like she was presenting an extraordinary item. "This here is what will allow the Immortal Hunter's Guild to keep track of your kills while out on the field.

As you may already be aware, the quests that come through the guild's doors are those that have a relatively high probability of leading to the death of something... or someone. Therefore, it is only natural that we have something to track of these sorts of things."

Listening to her explanation, Azmodeus understood that this 'tracker' was for the good of both the guild and the hunter. Putting his suspicions aside for now, he stuck his index finger on the needle and picked it up, causing light golden blood to draw.

OOOM!

Another flash of iridescent light flashed above the receptionist's desk before once more returning to tranquility.

FWIP!

Out of nowhere, a small slip of golden talisman paper materialized from thin air. Landing in the hands of the receptionist, it then vanished as quickly as it came. Though Azmodeus found this occurrence a tad bit odd, he paid it no heed. Instead, he asked, "Are we done?"

Seemingly lost in her own thoughts, it took the receptionist a moment before responding, "Yes, all you need is this F-Rank Immortal Hunter token, and you can begin taking up quests from that board over there."

After setting a copper medallion on the counter with one hand and using the other hand to point out a board with papers pinned on it, the receptionist lady said, "You can only choose quests a rank above your own, and even then, you will be taking a huge risk. It is recommended that you choose from the F-Rank and below categories, especially when considering your cultivation."

Nodding his head a few times in affirmation, Azmodeus said, "I see."

He then moved away from the counter, bidding farewell to the receptionist with a small head bob.

Approaching the quest board, he quickly found a few quests in the F-Rank and took them for himself. Not wishing to raise too much suspicion by going above his pay grade, Azmodeus felt that this was the best course of action he could take.

In no time at all, he was already leaving the loud establishment through the two almost wild, wild West-like doors. Upon reaching the active city outside, he made his way toward where the quests told him his targets were located.

Azmodeus's Quests.

{[Quest 1 - F-Rank:]}

[Head to the western parts of District D-J10078. In the central sewer area of This district, you will find a nest of Human Immortal Realm Sewer Rats. Exterminate the nest of rats and kill at least 100 of them in the process of destroying the nest. --- Each rat will be in the Grade 5 Human Immortal Realm.]

"Hmm...?"

"Sceeech...!!"

After slicing up the last Immortal Darth Scorpion in District K-42369, Azmodeus was surprised to hear the most recent system notifications. Getting right down to the matter at hand, he asked, "How much does a single White Tier Immortal Line cost? And what does it affect?"

[Ding! A White Tier Immortal Line will cost the host 10 Immortal Evolution Essence! And every Immortal Line will increase every aspect of Immortal Energy for those who own them. In the case of the White Tier Immortal Lines, all aspects of Immortal Energy will be multiplied by 2.]

"So that means my power when using Immortal Energy in attacks will also be multiplied by 2?"

[Ding! Yes, that is correct.]

"Alrighty, feel free to deduct 20 Immortal Evolution Essence and give me two White Tier Immortal Lines. Oh, and dump the rest of the Immortal Evolution Essence into my cultivation."

[Ding! Is the host sure that he would like to go through with these purchases?]

"Tsk, when did you start being so considerate? Just go through with the purchase like you were going to do either way."

Feeling a wave of power wash over his body, Azmodeus also felt his internal sea of Immortal Energy's total water value increase by tenfold!

"This breakthrough is quite a pleasant surprise. To be completely honest, I wasn't even expecting to have this much of a cultivation increase from such a negligible amount of Immortal Evolution Essence. But then again, I guess Immortal Evolution Essence works on a different wavelength than the previous Multiversal Evolution Essence."

After getting a good feel for the power coursing through his veins, Azmodeus looked toward the direction where his third and final quest was located.

"Time to go Demon Wyvern hunting."
