Tara flipped over the second card. "The Emperor. As I said before, this one is meant to represent your present life. The Emperor represents authority, structure, establishment, and patriarchal leadership. It seems you have a growing position of authority and leadership among your friends and peers."
"It could also mean you're establishing a greater sense of order in your life. Organizing the chaos. It could also represent the ability to manage relationships and responsibilities wisely."
That all made sense. I was growing my authority and leadership among my friends and peers by starting and building a faction, managing my relationships with other factions, and taking control in my relationships.
And I was establishing order from the chaos that was my life for so long. I was surrounding myself with people I could trust and who could trust me. I was putting everything in its right place.
And she was right about me handling my relationships and responsibilities. I was kicking ass in that department. I was kind of on top of the world right now.
"That seems to be resonating with you as well. Well, let's move on to the last one then. Although normally people tell me how my reading lines up with their lives rather than just being inside their own heads the entire time," she said.
"Oh, sorry. I was trying to keep secrets or anything. There's just so much going on I didn't know where to start. Let me get my thoughts straight first," I said.
I explained to her how well her reading was lining up with the recent events in my life so far. I explained to her about my turning, my time at the Vampire Association, the dungeons, my time after the Vampire Association up until now.
"Wow. A lot has happened in your life or unlife recently. I would say I'm sorry for the loss of your mortality, but it seems like you feel better than you ever have right now," she said.
"Alright now we're going to delve into your future. Last card," she said, as she turned the third card over. "The World. The card represents completion, fulfillment, integration, accomplishment, and travel. You will travel far and wide, but you will achieve your goals."
"You will achieve the power, responsibility, and purpose in life that you desire. It will still take work. It won't come easy, but it will come. And that's it."
Hmm. That kind of just answered everything. My plans were to travel through the monster underground and unite the separate groups as well as fight them to train until I was ready to face off against Lilith and her army.
I wanted to grow my team in size, strength, and influence. I wanted to get in contact with my mom and have her train me in the final stages of becoming the ultimate vampire cultivator.
And the cards were telling me I could and would achieve all that, as long as I worked to achieve it. I really was on top of the world. The literal last card that got turned over was The World, which proved it.
I walked out of the room with the biggest smile on my face. Alice said, "What's got you so happy?"
"Everything's going to be handed to me on a silver platter and it will be easy as pie," I said, rubbing my hands together.
"That's not what I said!" Tara yelled from the other room.
"Yeah, yeah! I know I'll have to work for it, but I always do, so why would this time be any different?" I said.
"Come inside young lady. Sit," Tara said, calling Alice into the room. The door closed and I waited.
When Alice came out, she was crying. "What's wrong?" I said. "Did it not go well?"
Then I heard a swooping sound and a man descended from the evening sky. He landed in front of us in jeans and a hoodie. He had massive moth like wings coming out of the back of his hoodie. He was also wearing sunglasses at night, but a dull red glow shone behind them.
"Hi," he said. "My name's Harold, but you can call me Harold."
"Hi Harold, I'm Dylan, and this is Alice," I said. Alice smiled and nodded.
"So why do you want back into the underground? And what got you kicked out in the first place?" He said.
"There are a number of reasons I want back in, one of them being to get back in touch with some friends, another being I want to contact various sects and build an army to fight some bad motherfuckers who are coming to Earth in a month. They'll be coming with an army of their own and I want to be able to beat them when they arrive," I said.
"As far as what got me kicked out, the Vampire Association didn't like that when I tried to exterminate some mindless monsters in their caves, 12 people ended up dead. Never mind the hundreds of people who had gone missing over the years because of these monsters."
"Wow, that sounds like huge task! Do you need help contacting sects? I know a lot of people. Also, before we take you one step into the underground again, we need to get you some fake identification, so the Vampire Association doesn't instantly know where you are as soon as you go down there," Harold said.
"I can also just spread the news that a new group of monsters are coming to Earth and they mean business."

"Yes to all of that! I need all the help I can get right now," I said, happy to finally get a break.
It feels like all I've been doing since I got out was bang my head against a wall. Alice squeezed my hand. She felt it too. This could finally be the turn around we needed.
"Yeah! I can do all that. I'll need some time though. You going to be in town for a while?" He said.
"Yeah. How long do you need?" I said.
"Just a day," he said.
"Wow, that's fast! Yeah we can wait a day," I said.
"Good! I'll text you when I'm done and ready to meet back up," he said. He flapped his wings and soared back into the night sky, disappearing from view.
"Well, that was an experience!" I said.
"Yeah, I'll say," Alice said. "What do you want to do now?"
"I kind of just want to go back to the hotel. You?" I said.
"Same," she said. She put her arm around mine as we walked back to the hotel.
