Chapter 6 Report
Chapter 6 Report
Wei Hongsi took several deep breaths, picked up the cup on the table, and sipped some water, gradually calming down.
It seems my self-cultivation skills are still insufficient; I need to continue practicing.
He chuckled self-deprecatingly, increased the number of simulated subjects from 100 to 300, and restarted the simulation analysis.
Just as I was watching the data on the monitor, indicating an abnormal situation, suddenly I heard someone call out from next to me: "Xiao Wei!"
Wei Hongsi's heart skipped a beat, but he calmly switched the CMS interface and turned to look at He Feng standing next to him: "Manager He?"
What kind of work are you doing?
"A small analysis commission, almost done. Need anything?"
"Um, that analysis from the amusement park yesterday..." He Feng looked constipated, hesitant to speak.
"Oh, the client approved our analysis report, so it's finished." Wei Hongsi didn't want to complicate things at this point, so he added, "Actually, it has absolutely no impact on Supervisor He, right?"
"Huh?" He Feng was taken aback for a moment, then realized, "That's right!"
He handed over the commission from the Eighth Department to Wei Hongsi. Wei Hongsi produced a report, and although the client was initially dissatisfied and came to complain, he eventually approved it, and that was the end of it!
"Alright, alright." He Feng nodded, looking relieved. "Then you can get back to work."
After seeing He Feng off, Wei Hongsi turned his attention back to the monitor.
Switching back to the CMS interface, the analysis was complete, and the data showing abnormalities in the simulated subjects accounted for more than 85%, even higher than the previous time.
There's no mistake, the beverage proposal from Paradise Park (BGG) has definitely been processed using Zhiwei's cognitive mirroring system!
Cognitive mirroring systems are not unique to Zhiwei Technology. Several other large companies in the industry, as well as several universities that have been deeply involved in this field, have all built their own systems.
Such systems need to learn and train to grow. Cognitive mirror systems developed by different organizations will have significant differences in behavioral analysis dimensions due to differences in their technological background and application orientation.
Just like a fingerprint, it is unique. Solution B, processed by CMS, inevitably bears its unique mark.
Wei Hongsi locked the computer screen, picked up a cup, and went to the break room to sort out his thoughts.
It's obvious there's a mole in the company. He or they conspired with GG Company to create Plan B, which was then awarded to Paradise Beverages through a bidding process.
This is a serious crime, and the sentence could be at least 10 years. The amount of money involved could be hundreds of millions, or even billions.
As the saying goes, cutting off someone's livelihood is like murdering their parents. If this matter was exposed by someone themselves, it could backfire spectacularly. It's not surprising that someone willing to risk more than ten years in prison would do anything extreme.
Wei Hongsi hesitated for a long time but couldn't come up with a good solution. He added a large spoonful of ice to the glass, took a few sips, and felt his restlessness subside considerably.
As I came out of the break room, I saw He Feng gesturing and talking to a few colleagues in his group. He was acting like a leader, showing no trace of his previous struggle with constipation. Suddenly, my mind opened up.
That's a classic case of being too close to the situation to see things clearly. In fact, handling complex problems simply often yields the best results.
This is just a routine work task for me, so I'll treat it according to the standard work process. My supervisor, who's in the workflow, will naturally take over the task.
The only person we need to worry about is Yu Sheng, the director of the second department.
If he is the mole, or was involved in this, then he can't escape this trouble.
However, this possibility is probably very small.
Whether it was assigning this task or applying to use the CMS, Yu Sheng's response was always normal.
If he were truly a participant, he should at least be a little nervous and have some unusual reaction, right?
Wei Hongsi sat down in front of the computer and began filling out the analysis report.
All the abnormal data provided by the CMS were included verbatim without any modification. The conclusion section only pointed out the problems in the commissioned analysis sample and why it was unusable.
The reason for the extremely high percentage of outlier data during the forward simulation analysis was not mentioned at all. This was because it wasn't part of the client's original request; once the aforementioned conclusions were reached, the work was considered complete.
However, anyone who reads this report will surely notice this point and draw the corresponding conclusions.
That percentage of over 85% is as striking as a campfire in the dark; anyone who isn't blind could not possibly ignore it.
After writing the report, I uploaded and submitted it immediately. No risk warning popped up, which means that this choice was correct... right?
A few minutes later, WD's feedback director received the report. Twenty minutes later, during lunch break, the report was still under review by the director, with no further progress.
Wei Hongsi wasn't in a hurry and left his workstation to go to the restaurant for lunch.
Such a big matter would probably require Yu Sheng to consider it carefully. The fact that he didn't immediately seek me out for a private conversation after seeing the report is a very good sign.
If Yu Sheng reports further upwards and relays the situation to the leadership of the "Cognitive Research Center" under the Second Department, then it will be fully processed through the proper procedures.
Wei Hongsi left the main building and ran into Lu Jiaqi, who greeted him first and then asked about his work progress.
He wasn't sure how long the report would stay with Yu Sheng, and once the lid was lifted, the company would definitely prioritize dealing with internal issues.
However, this incident is closely related to the beverage company at the amusement park, so even if the report cannot be released first, some communication will be conducted first.
"The results should be available this afternoon," Wei Hongsi said ambiguously.
"Wei's efficiency is truly remarkable," Lu Jiaqi said with a smile. "Shall we add each other as friends?"
"Okay." Wei Hongsi took out his phone and added her as a friend on Zhixun.
The company's WD also has a mobile app, which everyone calls "My," but apart from work-related communication, people don't like to use it in private.
Lu Jiaqi is quite good at interpersonal relationships; at least the experience of working with her these past two days has been pleasant. There will probably be some things to discuss outside of work, so adding her as a friend wouldn't hurt.
After lunch, Wei Hongsi intended to go to the bookstore to read for a while, but he received a message from Yu Sheng asking him to go to the director's office.
So he turned back to the main building, took the elevator to the 16th floor, and knocked twice on the door of the director's office.
After hearing "Please come in" from inside, I pushed open the door and saw two people sitting on the sofa in the reception area. One was Yu Sheng, and the other was Gu Shiming, the general manager of the Cognitive Research Center.
Wei Hongsi had met both of them, but they hadn't had much interaction.
This development met his expectations, and he felt reassured.
