Chapter 405: Little One Is Their God
Chapter 405: Little One Is Their God
Archi was the first to notice the anomaly among the Low-level Insect Clan."The Low-level Insect Clan has started again," he said, his voice carrying a hint of confusion.
Ian, standing next to him, frowned and replied impatiently, "They started again? What exactly is going on? Why are those Low-level Insects..."
Archi shook his head, "I don’t know."
"If this continues, the Low-level Insects might attack this Starship."
"I’ll go check the control room, first change the Starship’s destination to S-01 Star, let the baby stay with us during this special period before we send her back to the Federation."
As Archi spoke, he got up and walked towards the control room.
Aiers also stood up, "I’ll go check on the situation of those planets."
With her special ability of spatial transfer, she could reach other planets better and faster than other insects, making her the most suitable to suppress them.
Ian and Rock had no objections.
Aiers quickly disappeared.
Now only Ian and Rock remained in the hall.
They both stared intently at the door to Su Ruan’s room, waiting for her to come out.
Meanwhile, inside the room, Su Ruan lay on Lu Shinian, drawing circles on his chest with her fingertips, appearing slightly lost in thought.
"It’s happening again."
She murmured.
Lu Shinian, with one hand around her waist, sat up, adjusting his posture to make her more comfortable.
"Those voices have appeared again?" Lu Shinian asked.
Su Ruan nodded, her small face frowning, "So noisy."
It seemed like a thousand people were speaking next to her ear.
Even though countless people were talking, she couldn’t hear any of them clearly.
An irritation rose in her heart, causing Su Ruan’s eyes to faintly turn red.
Lu Shinian could only softly soothe her, gently kissing her little antenna on her head, whispering softly to divert her attention.
Thankfully, his comfort was effective for Su Ruan.
Su Ruan gradually calmed down, but once again fell into slumber.
After Su Ruan fell asleep, Lu Shinian gently carried her to the bed, covered her with a quilt, and then quietly left the room.
As soon as the door opened, Ian and Rock instantly stood up.
Upon seeing it was Lu Shinian, the two insects sat back down.
Lu Shinian ignored the commotion of the two insects and walked straight up to them, speaking up, "I heard your conversation."
His spiritual power had already controlled the entire Starship when the four insects entered, so all their actions were under his observation.
Ian was dissatisfied with such behavior, "Just because you have high spiritual power, you think you’re great?"
And eavesdropping on their conversation, disgusting, shameless!
Lu Shinian had no mood to argue with him about these matters and directly said, "Ruan Ruan said she heard many voices."
"Many voices clamoring in her mind."
Ian and Rock stood up again in one swift motion.
"What do you mean?"
"What voices?"
The two insects spoke simultaneously.
Lu Shinian shook his head, "Not sure yet."
"But I have a hypothesis."
He lowered his eyes and asked again, "When did you say the Low-level Insects started appearing abnormal?"
Ian recalled, "It was just yesterday."
"When yesterday?" Lu Shinian continued to ask.
"Around noon yesterday," Rock chimed in from the side. He thought a little more than Ian and quickly jumped to Lu Shinian’s hypothesis, "Do you mean the voices in the baby’s mind are related to the Low-level Insect Clan?"
After pausing, he denied it, "Impossible."
"Why is it impossible?" Lu Shinian also unceremoniously asked.
"We, the Insect Race, have our own signal communication method." Rock said, and two small antennae emerged from his head, "This is how we receive signals."
"We don’t need to rely on humans; we have our own communication network."
"You could think of it as us having our own Star Network, inherent, not needing external support."
"Commands from us higher Insects are also conveyed to lower ones through this ’Star Network.’"
"If, if..."
Rock licked his lips, and a hint of seriousness appeared on his boyish face.
"If the voices the baby hears are from those Low-level Insects, it means the baby has entered our unique Insect Race’s Star Network."
"But the problem is, we haven’t received any signals from the baby’s spiritual power."
"If there were any issues on the baby’s side, it should be us high-level Insects who sense the anomaly first."
That’s just something that wouldn’t happen to those Low-level Insects.
That’s how the Insect Race is, with clear hierarchies, and high-level Insects looking down on Low-level ones.
If not for Su Ruan, Rock and the others would have only focused on survival and mating like the Low-level Insects.
In essence, the reason they became high-level Insects is entirely because of Su Ruan.
This is why they worship her as a goddess.
The transmission method of the Insect Race typically means the offspring of high-level Insects are high-level, while those of low-level are low-level. Their case, originally low-level offspring turning into high-level, is a near-billion-to-one chance.
During their time in the Spiritual Domain, at first, they acted purely on instinct; it was Su Ruan who taught them many things, enabling them to break through.
Without exaggeration, Su Ruan is their god, a deity they cannot abandon or betray.
Rock could not tolerate that they did not receive any signals from their god, but those lowly blooded, dirty Low-level Insects did.
So, this absolutely cannot happen.
Rock’s eyes faintly reddened, "I’ll go kill those Low-level Insects."
Ian clearly shared the same thoughts, "I’ll go too."
If what Lu Shinian said is true, and the voices the baby hears come from those Low-level Insects, then as long as those Low-level Insects are killed, the baby will hear no more voices.
That way, the baby won’t be in discomfort.
Their simple and crude thoughts made Lu Shinian frown slightly; he restrained himself and said in a deep voice, "She would be unhappy if you did this."
The two insects paused.
Yes, such a kind baby would never allow them to kill those Low-level Insects.
Both insects fell silent.
"It’s still uncertain if what Ruan Ruan hears are from those Low-level Insects."
"Just as you said."
Lu Shinian looked at Rock.
"Your Insect Race has its own ’Star Network,’ if Ruan Ruan accidentally entered it, she should be able to hear your voices as well."
He suddenly paused and posed a question.
"But when a thousand insects speak at once, how can Ruan Ruan distinguish your voices?"
"If she truly did wander into it, we should be able to sense her signal." Rock quickly replied, the antennae on his head trembling madly, seeming to be receiving something. "But in fact, I haven’t received anything."
