Chapter 841
Chapter 841
Anton completed the shallow romance book that he bought from that quaint little bookshop near the café while sipping coffee and eating pastries that the café offered. He drank so much that he had to go to the toilet several times to relieve himself, but he couldn’t not buy drinks since he felt guilty staying without ordering anything.Still, he enjoyed the vibe so much that he thought of doing the same thing the next day. The experience let him relax, and Anton felt that he should enjoy his alone time as much as he could before he craved companionship.
By the time he was done reading, he was the only one left in the café, and the barista was nodding his head off by the countertop. Anton didn’t disturb the staff and simply left. When he arrived at his rooms, he went for a quick hot shower and slept a nice sleep.
Before he slept, he thought of sharing his alone time experience with Anna and would advise her to try to do the same because it felt like it would help a lot in her magical studies, since it seemed to Anton that a relaxed and calm mind would allow one to absorb knowledge more effectively.
His next meeting in the world of Diablo II through the Multiplayer option of his Diablo System with his father and his sister would be at the end of the month, which was a week from that night.
The next day after waking up, Anton still felt relax and he thoroughly enjoyed the feeling. Because of that, he had decided that while he was aboard the ship Melinda, he wouldn’t force any experience and would continue living a relaxed life. He would just resume his adventuring once he reached Izmorta.
After waking, Anton didn’t even check the time and simply took a shower and went outside to go to a nearby open restaurant for breakfast. He ate slowly, savoring the delicious breakfast that was served to him. Once he was done with his breakfast, Anton walked toward one of the promenade decks for the rich to gaze at the ocean, which meant that during those hours, he assumed that the rich people that the specific deck was supposed for would be absent, since more than likely, most of them would still be asleep.
When Anton arrived at one of the many decks on the ship, he was correct in his assumption that there would be no people there. He was one of the very few that was looking at the ocean.
The ocean was truly lovely and very relaxing to look at. Soon, he got bored and decided to start his roaming for that day. As he had decided, he wouldn’t expect or force any new experience and would just accept whatever the day would bring him. He felt like one of those hippies in the sixties or seventies back on Earth. The only thing missing was him being knee deep in herbal essences.
Before he left the deck, he noticed some comfortable deck chairs facing the ocean. He decided to lie on it and start watching a movie. Since he was currently traveling on a nice ship, he decided to watch a movie with a similar sea or ocean theme. Since he felt relaxed, he chose a film that was relaxing: a romantic comedy titled “50 First Dates”.
Anton found the movie funny, and there were moments in which some scenes touched him so much that he almost cried. He especially liked the ending when the female protagonist, played by Drew Barrymore, woke up in the middle of the ocean and discovered that she was married to a loving husband, had a daughter, with his father was there to assure her that everything was fine, even though she still couldn’t remember anything. It was especially touching to him because he had almost had the same experience when he woke up after transmigrating to this world. Unlike the romance of the movie, his story was a fantasy, adventure, action, and horror rolled into one.
While watching the film, Anton didn’t hold himself back and laughed loudly during comedy scenes, clapped during some of the scenes, and showed all the emotions that the movie managed to evoke from him. Since there was no one around when he watched the movie, he thought that he wouldn’t disturb anyone.
What Anton didn’t know was that while he was watching the film, a few people did arrive but left immediately, probably thinking that a crazy dude was loitering around the deck.
After the movie was completed, Anton was startled to see that a person was waiting beside him.
“Good morning, Sir Sunders. I’m Security Officer Meldo. A few passengers reported that an unbalanced person was loitering in this deck, and when we saw that it was you, we decided to wait until you’re done with your business to inquire what you were doing here,” The man said.
Anton felt a little embarrassed since he knew what the security officer was talking about. When he was watching the film, he didn’t care about where he was and reacted like he was alone, which he thought he was.
“I’m sorry, Officer Meldo. I opened a window to another dimension and watched a movie. There were some funny scenes in which I reacted as if I were alone, and honestly, I thought I was. I apologize. I will make sure to start watching movies in private next time.”
“Thank you. So you can watch a movie through a spell?” The security officer asked.
“Yes. I’m sure that you’re aware that the cinema belonged to my family and the movies came from another dimension, which I brought to our world through a spell. That’s the spell I cast.”
“Does that mean that you can watch any movies you want, anytime and anywhere you want?”
Anton simply nodded to answer the security officer’s question. For a brief moment, the man looked envious. Anton wasn’t in the mood to share, so he said goodbye and left the deck.
Unlike before, when he was on board the ship Amelia, Anton didn’t want to share anything about the movies from Earth. At least in the meantime. He wanted a new experience untainted by modern Earth. He wanted the full other-world isekai experience. He knew, though, that his love for anime, movies, television shows, and novels would climb out from the depths of his psyche and, inevitably, he would share it with others.
While walking around, he stumbled into a small balcony, still overlooking the ocean. Since there was no one around, Anton decided to stay there. While looking at the ocean, he imagined what would happen when, in the future, he was able to travel to different dimensions. He would behave lowkey because he didn’t want to cause chaos on Earth, but he imagined that once he was able to go back to Earth, he would have the ability to earn tons of money. He would use the money to buy the most luxurious things and enjoy life on Earth.
Then once he was able to create a stable tunnel from Earth to this world, he would bring his father, his sister, and any close friends that he had to Earth to enjoy everything Earth could offer, and maybe after years and years and he got bored playing around, he might share his ability to travel to other worlds with the citizens of Earth. He imagined that magic would bring about tremendous excitement to the people of Earth, especially the otakus.
By that time, he thought that maybe he already had the ability to travel to other worlds, and he wouldn’t just stop on Earth but go to different worlds altogether. That would be a fine, mighty adventure.
